Sneakerhead spotlight: Travis aka @CoachTBriggs
Question 1: What’s in your current sneaker rotation?
Travis: My current rotation is due to the colder, snowy weather in Utah where I live. I put the heat away for a bit so I don’t get them dirty. So, a lot of Blazers, Jordan 1s, Older Dunks - high top leather are my joints during the winter.
Question 2: What's the last pair you UNDS'd?
Travis: I just broke out my KOBE VI GRINCHES. I never got them in the original release. Even though I copped 11 other color ways. Wasn’t going to miss ‘em again.
Question 3: What is your fave sneaker you currently own?
Travis: JORDAN III OREGONs. My wife gave them to me for our 27 year anniversary. An Oregon athlete sold them for $450, bet he’s regretting that one. 😂
Question 4: What is your must-have grail?
Travis: I try to never call it a ‘must have’ if they are selling for over $500. So, those JORDAN IVs in the UNC color way coming out in March is next on the hit list, and sometime I’m gonna find a deal on those TRAVIS SCOTT JORDAN I LOWS, and I’m gonna pop on those !
Question 5: What got you started in the sneaker game?
Travis: I’m old school, been in the game a looooong time. Got a paper route in the early 80s so I could rock those NIKE LOW TOP BLAZER TENNIS shoe with the UNIVERSITY BLUE SWOOSH, to hoop in. IT WAS ON, after that. My next 3 jobs in High School were shoe store jobs. Never made any money cause I just bought more shoes, which included 2 OG JORDAN Is. BANNED color way & MAROON /WHITE color way, in 1986.
Question 6: What's something that most people don't know about you?
Travis: I served a 2-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. (Portland, Oregon) Also, I have won National Championships in 2 different recreational sports. One in Flag Football and another in Men’s Fast Pitch Softball. Also, raised 4 awesome children.
Question 7 (optional): What do you do for a living?
Travis: Retired Barber 💈, Hair dresser. Spent 15 years behind the chair 🪑. Then my wife started her own business that took off. So 13 years ago we switched places, she worked, I stayed home with kids. Got to coach them all in everything! Hence the name Coach on my Twitter acct. 😂
Question 8: where can people follow you on social media? YT, Snapchat, IG etc
Travis: Twitter is it ! Not too tech savvy, so I keep it simple.
Love y’all. There is good in everyone!
Peace ✌🏻
