Patta x Air Jordan 7 OG SP Official Images and Release Information
Jordan and Patta are back at it again!
For those of us that aren't familiar, Patta is a Dutch streetwear giant and sneaker boutique based in Amsterdam.
Back in June the collab released a "Shimmer" colorway that didn't go over too well with the sneaker community. I personally didn't think that alot of people had brown and red clothes to match aside from the apparel that released in tandem.
But this time we are getting “Icicle”. A much more palatable alternative. JB has latched on to the earth tone wave that Adidas has recently used on yeezys.
A very toned down pastachicio green replaces the bold brown of old. Sequoia is used on the inlays and the “Patta” moniker once again finds it's way to the grey midsole in a classy cursive font. You will also get a crimson jumpman on the ankle system and of course, "TEAM PATTA" on the pull tab. They give off a very heavy O.G 7 feel. Dont believe me? Check out this quote.
Taking inspiration from the 1992 bordeaux for the new silhouette, Patta Creative Director Vincent van de Waal said “We refer back to that color blocking but applied an uncommon color, light pistachio green. If the Shimmer colorway was the brother of the OG, the Icicle is its cousin.”
Patta’s Air Jordan 7 “Icicle” releases exclusively through Pattas storefronts in Amsterdam, Milan, and London. If you are stateside like myself you will have to try your luck online.
