Kay Yow Air Force 1
Sandra Kay Yow is not just a coach.
She is an inspiration, a fighter and a woman to be held in the highest regard. She has helped hundreds of woman on the court but more importantly shes helped millions off the court.
In 2007, the Kay Yow Cancer Fund was founded to aid in the breast cancer fight. Although Kay is no longer with us, her legacy is solidified. To this day she is still in the mix through this foundation. The cancer fund has created a support system for other women fighting the fight. Proceeds from the fund help women in need of assistance and at the same time catapult research to help terminate cancer forever.
Nike has realized how necessary this cause is and has stood behind it for years. Countless shoes have been dually branded with the pink ribbon complimenting the nike swoosh.
The partnership is stronger than ever with the release of the all new Air Force 1.
This AF1 gets a powerful pink upgrade. This new take on the classic boasts a deconstructed nike swoosh embroidered just below it's normal placement. The entire shoe has a smooth pink to white ombre. Along with a navy blue tongue tag and heel tab that are not to be overshadowed by the pink ribbon laces.
