Sneakerhead Spotlight: Maikell aka @mvikell
Question 1: What’s in your current sneaker rotation?
Maikell: Since we been on quarantine and I get to keep these joints nice and clean, I’ve been putting on the blue toe Union 1’s, Sacai waffle black nylons, Nike SB Hufs, A pair of chucks that were customized by the homie @FTCCkicks and some Sanük flip flops.
Question 2: What's the last pair you UNDS'd?
Maikell: Last pair was the Jordan 1 Mid Chicago Black Toe
Question 3: What is your fave sneaker you currently own?
Maikell: I purchased a sneaker in the beginning of the year that was a grail of mine since 2006. That sneaker is the Nike SB Lucky 7
Question 4: What is your must-have grail?
Maikell: This is such an unrealistic must have grail of mine but it is the Nike MAG Back To The Future 2011 or 2016. Such a beautiful sneaker to look at. But if it’s something I can afford, it would be the Nike SB Travis Scott lows cause that sneaker tells a high school story about my life.
Question 5: What got you started in the sneaker game?
Maikell: Growing up very poor, I remember telling myself “when I get a job, I’m going to buy nice things for myself”. The first pair of sneakers that I bought myself was the Jordan 1 Patent Leather Black & Metallic Gold back. Since then, I’ve been addicted to the sneaker game.
Question 6: What's something that most people don't know about you?
Maikell: Kinda embarrassing but I was into wrestling. You know, WWF type of wrestling. I tried out for pro wrestling with 2 other of my high school buddy’s. I did it for about 2 years and made my independent pro wrestling debut. I quit shortly after that cause they kept trying to push steroids on me to look “jacked” since I was only 5’6. I’m against any form of drug so that just left a bad taste in my mouth. My 2 other buddies made debuts on WWE and got to wrestle in Mexico. That alone made me proud to see them make it.
Question 7: What do you do for a living?
Maikell: As of now, I work at the Tesla Fremont Factory as a Material Handler (going on 8 years). My goal is to get my Class A drivers license to move me and my family to The Big Island of Hawaii.
Question 8: Where can people follow you?
Maikell: you can follow me on here @MVIKELL you can follow my snap (which will be mostly my kids) @ kellzmannn
