Sneakerhead Spotlight: Dana aka @kicksndcars (Copy)

Question 1: What’s in your current sneaker rotation?

Dana: I’ve been wearing my Dunk by You pair a lot. I made like a Union 1 style pair, but suede. I feel like I made em my own so they’re a little more special then some of my others because it’s something I liked and wanted. Outside of that I’ve been wearing my Turdunkens, Smoke Grey 1’s, Zoom Crater 1’s…man that shoe went so underrated. I like em a lot. I get a lot of people stopping me and asking about them. Those have been the pairs I will come home from work and throw on the most.

Question 2: What's the last pair you UNDS'd? 

Dana: Celadon Dunk SB ACGs. I didn’t like them at first glance to be honest, but once I swapped out the green laces for the blue ones and put em on…the way I looked at em after I fell in love with them.

Question 3: What is your fave sneaker you currently own? 

Dana: This is a tough question, but I have a pair of my uncles old black forces with the gum bottoms. They’re beat up and a half size too small for me, but I’d never let them go. We was like brothers and I lost him in front of me, so I cherish those the most. 

Question 4: What is your must-have grail?

Dana: I need to get my hands on 2 pairs. A pair of Chicago 1’s cuz it’s something I’ve had on repeat and been on the top of my list it’s a must in any sneakerheads collection. I should have held on to my last pair. Then there’s my Eleanor…The Olive Travis Scott 6’s. I was sold a fake off a seller a while back and ever since then they been just out of reach for me. A few deals didn’t end up happening and I still don’t have em.

Question 5: What got you started in the sneaker game?

Dana: My mother always had me in new sneakers when I was a kid and I grew up in Boston the same place as New Edition, Benzino and the Wise Guyz and seeing those dudes and other dudes in the neighborhood with the new Nikes, Jordan’s, or Top Tens and I always wanted em and as I got older I started to get what I wanted slowly. I lost it all a few times, but each time I come back and go 10x harder than the last time.

Question 6: What's something that most people don't know about you?

Dana: This is probably one of the hardest questions here. This ones going to make me think…. I’m kind of an open book if you want to know anything ask.

Question 7 (optional): What do you do for a living? 

Dana: I’m a manager for an auto parts retailer and I love it.
