Question 1: What’s in your current sneaker rotation?

Jose: Black Union 4s, Chicago 1s, Bacon AM 90s, Oreo Kobe 11s, Orange Box SB Dunks, Black and White Dunks, and AMM 1s are the pairs I found myself wearing a lot lately.

Jose: The A Ma Maniere Jordan 1. I really wasn’t sure what to think of the cracked leather at first, but they’ve definitely grown on me.

Question 3: What is your fave sneaker you currently own?

Jose: It’s a tossup between the Shadow 1s and OG Shattered Backboard 1s.

Question 4: What is your must-have grail?

Jose: OG Shattered Backboards 1s which I was able to get last year.

Question 5: What got you started in the sneaker game?

Jose: I remember being interested in sneakers starting at around 8 years old. My older sister and cousins were big on the Grant Hills from Fila and Jordan’s in the 90s which influenced my taste in sneakers at an early age. Also, I grew up playing basketball and skateboarding, so sneakers were always important to me from a style and functionality standpoint. The whole look good, feel good, play good mentality was definitely a thing for me. 

As I got older and had more financial responsibilities, I actually had to stop collecting for a while. It wasn’t until I tore my achilles in 2015 that I got back into it. That injury made me want to start wearing more comfortable shoes, so I instantly gravitated towards anything with boost from Adidas. From there, it just sparked a renewed passion for sneakers. 

Question 6: What's something that most people don't know about you?
Jose: Most people don’t know that I’m a twin. 

Question 7 (optional): What do you do for a living?

Jose: I’m a Replenishment Manager for a fortune 500 company.
