Question 1: What’s in your current sneaker rotation?

Alex: I try my best to get use out of all my sneakers, but I usually gravitate to my Jordan 1’s and Yeezy 350’s the most. Right now to be specific I have been wearing the Jordan 1 Bred’s “2013”, Nike SB Parra Dunk lows, the EE Reebok Club C’s 💜💛 colorway, both the SBB low and High’s from 2019, and some Zebra 350’s.

Question 2: What's the last pair you UNDS'd?

Alex: Pharrell NMD Hu “Extra Eye”, But I will be UNDS’ing the New Balance 550 Aime Leon Dore’s tonight!!!

Question 3: What is your fave sneaker you currently own?

Alex: That’s a super tough question. I love my New Balance x Bodega “No Bad Days”. I just think that shoe works well with so many different fits and I find myself automatically putting those on when I’m going to shop down Fairfax and Melrose. But I think the little hypebeast in me still might have to stick with my TS1 High’s.

Question 4: What is your must-have grail?

Alex: I mean if money wasn’t an option I would love to get the J1 Colette’s, and the Jordan Kobe PE Pack. But realistically speaking I absolutely need the upcoming reissue of the Nike Air Max 90 Bacon’s coming out in 2021 and I still need to obtain a pair of the SBB 1.0’s for my collection. I’ve been waiting for a really good day or a promotion to pull the trigger on those SBB 1.0’s.  

Question 5: What got you started in the sneaker game?

Alex: I would say I first started caring about sneakers at 8 yrs old when my mom started lacing me up in nice kicks for basketball. I had a couple restrictions though. I was never allowed to wear any of the Jordan Retros or low top basketball shoes because my mom didn’t like the ankle support and arch support in those shoes for sports. But my mom would let me choose whatever sneaker I wanted that followed those guidelines, so she always had me in the newest shoe tech at a young age which I’m forever grateful for. I would always love looking through the Eastbay lookbooks at what shoe was going to be my next cop. I had some really fun kicks growing up. Off the top my head I remember my Reebok Pump Up’s, Adidas Kobe 1’s and the AI answer 5’s the most. When started skating a lot around the age of 11-12 I went on a 10-12 yr stretch where I almost exclusively wore Emerica Reynold Cruisers and Nike Stefan Janoski’s. Now that I haven’t been skating as much and I can actually keep my shoes clean for longer than a month, I’ve started investing more into causal kicks like the Jordan Retros and Air Max’s that I always loved as a kid but was never able to purchase.

Question 6: What's something that most people don't know about you?

Alex: I’m not sure if many people on here know much about me besides I like fashion and I’m an annoying Lakers fan. But one of my closest interest to my heart is music. Im a concert fanatic, before the covid outbreak I was going to a concert at least 1-2x a month. Radiohead, R.A.T.M., and Kendrick Lamar are probably my top artists but if I were to recommend some artist for you guys to check out that I’m sure a lot of you already know, that would be Sampha, Isaiah Rashad, and Childish Major to name a few.

Question 7 (optional): What do you do for a living?

Alex: I am a Senior Business Development Analyst at an enterprise software company. I manage the sales side of our software product called System Architect which is generally used by government entities and the Department of Defense. I love my current job but I have been looking to enter into the world of fashion or sports which is closer to my current deep interests in life; so hopefully we will see that transition in the near future🤞!
